The short version
We only collect the information we need to ship Fuselink to you and answer your messages. We don't sell your data, we don't use ad trackers, and we don't share your data with third parties beyond the postal carrier and our payment processor.
What we collect
- When you order: name, delivery address, email, phone (optional), and the contents of any notes you add to the order.
- When you contact us: name, email, and the message you sent.
- When you use fuselink.uk: standard web-server access logs (IP address, requested URL, timestamp, user-agent) — kept for 30 days for security and debugging.
The Fuselink device itself does not phone home. The only network calls it makes are: (a) when you put it into Wi-Fi recovery mode and join your Wi-Fi, it fetches https://fuselink.uk/firmware/latest.json and the new firmware binary if there is one; and (b) those fetches hit our standard web logs. We don't tie those requests to your identity.
How we use it
- To fulfil your order (ship the product, send the invoice, follow up if there's a delivery issue).
- To answer your support questions.
- To meet our legal obligations (accounting, consumer law).
Who we share with
- The postal carrier (currently Royal Mail) — name and address only.
- Our payment processor (Stripe) — name, email and amount. We never see your card details.
- Our form provider (formsubmit.co) — relays the order or contact form contents to our inbox.
- Our accountants — for tax and accounting records.
That's it. No advertising networks, no analytics resellers.
How long we keep it
- Order records: 6 years (UK tax requirement).
- Support correspondence: 2 years, or until you ask us to delete it.
- Web access logs: 30 days.
Your rights
You have the right to ask what data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted (subject to legal record-keeping). Email hello@fuselink.uk.
Complaints
If you're not happy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
